Coachella has long been an influential hub for fashion and culture. With the 2025 festival now behind us, we'll reflect on the most influential looks, standout trends, and the impact made by the festival.
Coachella remains one of the most popular festivals, often acting as a launchpad for experimental fashion and cultural moments. In recent years, celebrities have become the heart of festival fashion, collaborating with stylists to create memorable looks. These outfits often result in fashion trends that last the remainder of the year and even trail into the next one.
With the 2025 festival coming to a close, we wanted to take a look at this year’s best looks, highlight the trends that have emerged from the festival, and assess its overall impact on fashion.

Clairo combined several design elements to achieve a vintage look during Weekend One, pairing an archival Dior lace bra with a sheer lace shirt made from different panels of fabric and a pink skirt embellished with strings of pearls. Paired with high black boots and her signature headset that she wears while performing, her mixing of fabrics and patterns is a sustainable trend that has started to trickle down and gain more popularity. Her Weekend Two look featured a vintage 1960s-inspired cream-colored set complete with floral detailing, worn alongside suede taupe boots.

Lady Gaga’s many memorable looks during her headlining performance at Coachella showcased her full commitment to the performance, opening with a red, Tudor-inspired dress from Mugler, complete with puffy sleeves and a structured corset. The puffy sleeves point towards the wider moment of the trend, in addition to the return of shoulder pads. This is also evident in her next look, a frilly, off-white dress with upgraded shoulder armor, a modern callback to her Paparazziperformance look from the 2009 VMAs. Her next look was a black mini dress paired with a lace veil and knee-high boots, showcasing the resurgence of more grunge looks from the early 2010s. Finally, she wore a deep blue soldier coat over a blue bodysuit with black embroidery, paired with a long, horned headpiece.

Victoria Monét joined Megan Thee Stallion to perform during Weekend One in a very Western and 70s-inspired brown outfit, which makes sense, as the Pantone 2025 Color of the Year is Mocha Mousse. She paired a gorgeous brown beaded top with matching beaded denim shorts, rhinestone headpiece, and high brown leather boots. The ribbons add a flirty, feminine edge.

Disco met desert during Benson Boone’s performances both weekends, adding to the 70s vibes with a two-piece set and a bodysuit featuring large buckle belts. The looks were both completed with the decade’s signature bell-bottom flare and an accentuated collar. Both of his outfits are proof that the decade’s popular trends are making a strong comeback.

Rising country artist Shaboozey further explored the Western theme with a white suit, embellished with red and blue patches and intricate embroidered details. His matching bolo tie and cowboy boots completed the look, showing a draw towards more Western pieces.

Marina’s weekend look embraced the corset trend, featuring a Tartan plaid corset paired with a white bubble skirt and pink ballet-style heels. Marina’s look for Weekend Two featured a full-length pink sequin gown with attached balaclava, complete with a cowl neckline and matching hair scrunchie. The full-length glasses tie it all together and offer protection from the bright sun. The balaclava was a popular trend this winter that is likely to continue through the end of the year, while the cowl neckline has returned with full force, further highlighting the resurgence of many 1970s trends.

Kali Uchis made a surprise appearance during Jennie’s Weekend One set, wearing a gorgeous red set with red boots. Red has been a trending color this year, with a particular emphasis on richer tones, such as burgundy. Both Kali and Jennie’s looks point towards the resurgence of red, specifically a brighter fiery red.
Coachella’s impact extends far beyond the fairgrounds, influencing the mainstream fashion industry through emerging trends. Brands now strategically align with the festival for the festival season, leveraging celebrity style to drive sales through highlighted “festival edits” that mimic looks worn by celebrities at the festival. Social media amplifies these trends, broadcasting styles in real time and further accelerating the trend cycle through user-generated content. Viewers often attempt to replicate various looks in addition to creating their own festival-inspired styles.
Layering, Western, and vintage-inspired styles, along with textures such as metallics, sparkles, and sequins, are slated to dominate the SS25 season. There’s no doubt that this year’s festival acts as a launchpad for spring and summer fashion trends, further trickling down into retail collections, editorial spreads, and everyday looks.
